Therapies & Social Work

When your health status requires intervention from a skilled therapist or social worker, our staff is ready to help. Under your physician’s order services can be provided in your home.

Physical therapists can provide treatment for a wide variety of problems ranging from arthritis, joint replacements, and reconditioning, respiratory and cardiac problems to strokes and amputations. We can provide strengthening, stretching, gait and transfer training, balance retraining, fall prevention and home safety assessments, wheelchair and equipment assessments and recommendations for modifications in the home.

Occupational therapists can provide treatments for clients having difficulties managing their personal care and daily routines due to illness or the frailty of aging as well as therapy for upper extremity problems. We can perform home safety assessments, make recommendations for adaptive equipment, and provide instructions for energy conservation and activities of daily living.

Speech therapists can provide treatments for a wide variety of clients with speech and language difficulties as well as cognitive deficits. They can assess and work with clients with swallowing difficulties resulting form illness or injury.

Medical social workers provide interventions to assist clients in adapting to social circumstances related to illness. They can assist in community referrals for financial as well as material resources.
